History

Preparation of foreign citizens in the preparatory department started in Bukovina State Medical Academy in 1997. In 1999, in connection with the closing of the preparatory department Bukovina State Medical Academy rector of the Academy was established preparatory department for foreign citizens. During this period, the preparatory department enrolled 230 students, the principal amount of which subsequently acquired a further degree at the University, the others came in other higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
Studying at the preparatory department carried out mainly in "health care" direction. The curriculum includes training in the Russian language, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics , the foundations of computer science, nandigram. Some foreign nationals who already have a college degree and had intended to enter the faculty of postgraduate education, studied Russian language only. Since 2006, the preparatory department began studying Ukrainian language as a foreign language instead of Russian.
